Project Overview
The City of Barrie is updating its Culture Master Plan, "Building a Creative Future," aiming to establish an Integrated Public Art Strategy for the city. These initiatives aim to shape the city's cultural landscape over the next decade by guiding decisions, policies, programs and investments to enhance the local creative sector.

Engagement:
Community feedback was gathered through online Community and Culture Sector Surveys. The surveys closed June 17, 2024.
The community was also encouraged to participate through several self-guided and in-person engagements throughout May and June 2024. Engagement locations included:
- Barrie Public Library locations
- City recreation centres
- Barrie Farmers Market
- UPlift Black Centre for Social Justice & Inclusion
- MacLaren Art Centre
- Barrie Air Show
